The State Security Adviser to the Kogi State Governor, Commander Jerry Omodara (rtd), has held a townhall meeting with youths of Oke-Offin, Bunu, calling for unity and collective growth within the community.
The meeting held on Tuesday at the Oke-Offin Bunu Community Town Hall.
Speaking on behalf of his principal, the Personal Assistant to the State Security Adviser, Hon. Charles Olukunle, said the gathering was convened to celebrate with Oke-Offin youths over the successful hosting of this year’s New Yam Festival, while also using the opportunity to engage them directly and solicit continued support for Omodara and the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Olukunle disclosed that preparations are at an advanced stage for Omodara’s Annual Empowerment Programme, adding that special arrangements have been made to ensure Oke-Offin youths benefit significantly from the initiative.
He commended the youths for their consistent loyalty to Omodara over the years, and urged them to sustain and deepen their support as the state moves closer to the election period.
Responding, the Oke-Offin Community Youth Leader, Mr Micah Olayinka Alehile, thanked Olukunle for convening what he described as a timely and impactful meeting. He praised Omodara as a visionary leader committed to community development, specifically commending him for recently securing Nigerian Army enlistment slots for five youths from Oke-Offin.
At the end of the meeting, the youths passed a vote of confidence in Omodara’s leadership, affirming their satisfaction with his style of governance and pledging full support for him, come rain or shine.
