The Ogidi Development Union (ODU) has commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi State for a series of interventions in Ogidi Kingdom, including road reconstruction, a chieftaincy promotion, and appointments benefiting the community.

In a letter of appreciation, ODU President, Raphael Kayode Eniolorunda, thanked the Governor on behalf of the union and the people of Ogidi Kingdom for the elevation of Very High Chief Shuaib Ipinmisho, Olukoko Arolupotopoto of Ogidi Kingdom, from Senior Special Assistant to Special Adviser on Land Matters.

Chief Ipinmisho also serves as ODU’s Director of Public Affairs.

The union equally lauded the release of funds for the reconstruction of the Asaya–Ogidi–Ayere road, describing it as a legacy project that would boost commerce and ease the burden on residents.

ODU further expressed gratitude over the upgrade of the throne of Ologidi to First Class status, alongside the promotion of three other Ogidi traditional chiefs to Third Class status, saying the recognitions had brought honour to the kingdom’s traditional institution.

Eniolorunda pledged the community’s continued support for Governor Ododo and President Bola Tinubu, assuring both leaders of Ogidi’s mobilisation for the 2027 re-election bid.

He prayed for God’s continued guidance and protection over the governor’s administration.
