The Management of Reverton Hotels Limited has raised the alarm over a false and malicious advertisement circulating on Facebook and other social media platforms, which falsely claims that Reverton Hotel, Lokoja, is up for sale.
In a public disclaimer signed by Management, the hotel described the claim as entirely false, fraudulent, misleading and unauthorised, stressing that Reverton Hotel is not for sale and has never been offered for sale.
According to the statement, neither Management nor the owners of Reverton Hotels Limited have appointed, instructed, or authorised any individual, agent, company, or organisation to advertise, negotiate, receive offers, or conduct any transaction relating to the purported sale of the hotel.
“Accordingly, any person or organisation claiming to represent Reverton Hotels Limited in connection with the sale of the hotel is acting fraudulently and entirely without the knowledge, consent, or authority of Management,” the statement read.
Management warned members of the public against communicating with such persons, transferring money to them, disclosing personal or financial information, or entering into any purported transaction concerning the hotel.

It noted that all official announcements and communications from Reverton Hotels Limited are issued exclusively through the hotel’s official page and other verified communication channels, adding that any information about the hotel not originating from these authorised channels should be treated as false and suspicious.
The hotel disclosed that it has commenced an investigation into the source of the malicious advertisement and would cooperate with relevant authorities to identify those responsible and ensure they are brought to justice in accordance with the law.
Management called on those responsible for creating, publishing, or circulating the false advertisement to cease and desist immediately.
Anyone who encounters the advertisement or receives any related communication was urged to preserve evidence — including screenshots, account details, phone numbers, messages, and payment requests — and report it immediately to Reverton Hotels Limited through its official contact channels.
Management appreciated the vigilance, continued trust, and support of its guests, business partners, and the general public.
