Kogi Govt. Appoints 18 Traditional Rulers

Kogi State Government has approved the appointment of eighteen (18) Traditional Rulers

This was made known in a statement by Mr. Eniola Enimola Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs on behalf of the Commissioner.

 

The newly appointed Traditional Rulers replaces those that have passed away after due process was followed.

The appointment is based on the Government conviction that they possess the prerequisite quality of tact, integrity, maturity, and patriotism to shoulder the responsibility of their offices.

Those appointed for second class status are Mallam Haliru Aminu Akwu as Etsu Elaite and Major General Erema Akerejola rtd, Ubuoro of Ogori land.

Others are; Idris Ali Yusuf, Onu Itama, Usman Akowe Omonu, Onu Ayah, Joseph Abdul Abuh as Odu Ogidiga of Emodu, Abdul Opaluwa, Omachi Iyogbo, Ali Abba, Abagbo-Inna Akpanya and Umoru Zakari, Odoma Ata Igala.

The rest are; Umoru Usman Atabo Ijomi, Ekpa Ata Igala and Yusuf Momoh Adama as Anaja of Gbobe.

Those appointed as third Class Chiefs are; Alikali Suleiman, Taru Onyionwa Idu Eyire Clan, Salami Abdulrasaq, Olu- Ere,ife-olukotun, Zakari Alhassan, Ondaki of Ohikwo, Isiaka Ukele Ogohi Acharu, and Abuh Adukwu, Owo Onu- Ife.

Others are ; Alhaji Gida, Ohinoyi of Kekere, Sule Yabubu, Ohinoyi of Edekakpo and Nigeria Okpanachi as Egena Eje Olamaboro.

The appointments take immediate effect.
