“Culture and Development are interwoven and hardly can you separate the two. We from Ijumu Oke specifically Egbeda Egga as one of the strongest Communities in Ijumu Oke is showcasing their culture and values. It now afforded them the opportunity to eminent personalities across Kogi State to celebrate with them and at the same time raise funds for the development of the Community, I think it is a gracious thing.
According to him, “if this could continue, it will give a sense of belonging to our children and the unborn ones so that they will be able to identify and associate with their traditions and culture.”
He added that though Ijumu Communities have been doing well in the area of promotion of Culture, there’s a need to do more.
