Preparations have commenced for the 2026 Ijumu Cultural Festival with the constitution of a Central Planning Committee and nine sub-committees to drive the event.
The festival is scheduled to hold on November 21, 2026, at the Olujumu Palace, Iyara.
Hon. Funsho Olumoko has been appointed as Director-General of the Central Planning Committee.
According to the Secretary of the Committee, Olutimehin Kunle, nine sub-committees have been put in place to ensure a successful outing.
The sub-committees and their heads are: Contacts and Mobilization – Hon. Dayo Akanmode; Finance and General Purpose – Mr. Olusegun Oguntebi; Venue and Protocols – Comr. Dare Osanaye; Entertainment – Chief Wale Oye; Media and Publicity – Mr. Korede Emmanuel; Awards – Hon. Paul Adebayo; Culture – Comr. Jumoke Olumosunle; Health – Dr. Kunle Aledare; and Security – Mr. Sesan Ogunbamiwa.
The Committee thanked all members for accepting to serve and called for collective efforts to make the festival a success.
