Kogi State security Adviser, Commander Jerry Omodara rtd has commended security agencies for the professional conduct during Saturday’s Local Government polls.
Commander Omodara while speaking with Newsmen shortly after casting his vote at Oke Offin, Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area.
According to him, the Heads of Security Agencies performed excellently with massive deployment on the highway and other strategic locations.
The Security Adviser applauded the Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission (KOSIEC) for organising a peaceful and transparent election.
He also commended the electorate across the State for conducting themselves in an orderly manner, urging them to replicate the same during the general elections next year.
At Odolu Ward, the electorate came out in their numbers to exercise their franchise while security agents were on ground to ensure law and order.
At Ogidi in Ijumu Local Government Area, the Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Haruna Ibrahim expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the election.
Haruna expressed appreciation to the People of Ijumu for the orderly conduct, urging them to continue to live peacefully.
He commended the State Electoral Umpire and Security Agencies for conducting a free, fair and credible election.
At Ogale, the Provost of College of Education Ankpa, Dr. Paul Femi Fashagba described the election as peaceful, credible and transparent.
