Works Commissioner Inspects Kogi Airport Access Road Sites, Demands Speed

The Kogi State Commissioner for Works, Barr. Salami Ozigi Deedat, has inspected the ongoing construction of the major access road to the Kogi State Airport and the Airport Terminal building, to assess progress and ensure compliance with approved standards.

During the inspection, the Commissioner urged the contractor handling the projects to strictly adhere to the stipulated completion timeframe and ensure all works comply with the laid-down rules, regulations and specifications of the Kogi State Government.

He expressed satisfaction with the pace of work at the sites, noting that the quality and speed of development reflect the commitment of the Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo-led administration to providing durable, quality infrastructure for the people of the state.

Deedat emphasised that the airport project is a major infrastructure development capable of opening up Kogi State to greater economic opportunities, attracting investors, and enhancing the state’s visibility nationally and internationally.

He reaffirmed the Ministry of Works’ commitment to effective monitoring and supervision of government projects, stressing that the Ododo administration is determined to deliver quality infrastructure that will positively impact residents’ lives and further place Kogi State on the global map.
