FOB Iluke-Bunu to be Ready Soon, Says Gov. Ododo at Commissioning of Bunu Divisional Police Station

Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo says the Forward Operating Base of the Nigerian Army in Iluke-Bunu will be ready in the next three weeks.

 

The Governor made this known on Thursday in a message to the commissioning of the Bunu Divisional Police Station in Iluke-Bunu in Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area.

The efforts according to him are in line with his administration’s commitment nipping criminal activities in the Bud and flushing out men of the underworld from Bunu land.

Represented by the State Security Adviser, Commander Jerry Omodara (rtd) announced the donation of four motorcycles to officers and men of the Division aimed at enhancing Community policing.

According to him, efforts of his administration and security agencies have yielded positive results as normalcy has now returned to trouble Communities that were earlier terrorised by bandits.

This feat Governor Ododo noted must be sustained, expressing optimism that the Police and Army personnel to be deployed to the District have the capacity to maintain peace and stability.

He commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the improvement being recorded across the country, saying his directive for recruitment of Police officers have now led to the opening of more Police Post and Divisions across the country.

The Governor saluted the Inspector General of Police, Olatunji Disu for introducing reforms that are making the country win the war against insecurity.

He passionately appealed to Bunu sons and daughters to support security agencies with timely and credible information to eliminate criminals troubling the land.

He added that the newly deployed Forest Guards to Bunu land will also add value to the current fight against insecurity in the Area, and solicited for adequate support of residents of Bunu Kingdom.

The Governor paid glowing tributes to Nigeria Security Expert, Prof. Etanibi Alemika for demonstrating genuine love for Bunu land, adding that he remains a hero of the District.
