The highest Sociocultural Organization in Ijumu Kingdom, Ijumu Development Union (IDU) has backed the indefinite closure of Iyara Cattle Market, popularly known as Zango Market.

National President of IDU, Ahmed-Ade Fatai in a statement commended the Local Government Chairman, Alh. Haruna Ibrahim for taking the bold and important step.

“We, the Ijumu Development Union, wholeheartedly join our voices and spirit with the Executive Chairman of Ijumu Local Government Area, Alhaji Haruna Ibrahim, in recognizing his dedication and commitment to addressing insecurity in Ijumu land.

 

“His bold and strategic decision to close down the Iyara Cattle Market (Zango) is a commendable step toward safeguarding the peace and well-being of our people. This proactive approach reflects true leadership and a deep sense of responsibility toward the safety and progress of Ijumu.

 

“We strongly support these unwavering strides and encourage even bolder actions that will further strengthen the security and development of our land.
