Ayetoro Gbede Muslim Community Gets New Chief Imam

Ayetoro Gbede Muslim Community under the leadership of Alhaji Nurudeen Akewushola has announced Alhaji Tajudeen Ajibola Iliyas as the new Chief Imam of Ayetoro Gbede Muslim community today, 16th of September, 2022.

 

This followed the demise of the immediate past Chief Imam,  Alhaji Tiamiyyu Arobani, who died on the 30th of August 2022.

 

Alhaji Tajudeen Ajibola Iliyas acquired both Islamic and western education. He attended Ansarul-Deen (AUD) Primary School, Ayetoro Gbede and MIDAG College of Arabic and Islamic Studies, Ayegunle Gbede both in Ijumu Local Government Area, Kogi State.

 

In order to acquire more knowledge, he proceeded to Kwara State College of Education, Ilorin, Kwara State and Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, Sokoto State where obtained Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) in Islamic Education.

 

The Chairman of Ayetoro Gbede Muslim Community, Alhaji Nurudeen Akewushola, the most senior cleric of the community, Alhaji Iliyas Adeyemi (Mukadam) and other prominent Islamic clerics and scholars were in attendance during the announcement.
