A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief David Shola Aiyedogbon (Charvid) has expressed deep grief over the death of the Former Commissioner for Special Duties, Late Hon. Ismail Adesayo Yahaya.

Barrister Aiyedogbon popularly known as Charvid in a statement obtained by The Drum Reporter said, “while we accept that we are mere mortals and can, therefore, not question God for whatever He allowed to happen, the death of the Former Commissioner was, to say the least, very painful, sudden, pathetic and most unfortunate.

Charvid said further that till his sudden death, the deceased was a Grassroot and Resourceful Politician, who had the genuine interest of his people and the development of his community at heart.

He, further, described the deceased as a person who was determined to succeed and worked rigorously to achieve his set goals. Charvid said, further, that Hon. Ismail was devoted to the course that he believed in. Charvid said while the deceased was not born with a silver spoon, he worked hard to launch himself into limelight against all odds.

Charvid said that Late Hon. Ismail’s political journey saw him making remarkable marks as the Pioneer Treasurer of the All Progressive Party (APC) in Kogi State, Special Adviser to the Executive Governor on Water Resources and recently, the Honourable Commissioner of Special Duties.

Charvid said further that while we mourn with heavy hearts but total submission to the wish of God, Our Creator and the Determinant of our tenancy on earth, the death of Late Hon Ismail was one stroke too many and a devastating loss to me, my family, the APC family, his immediate and extended family, Aiyegunle Gbede Community, Ijumu Local Government Area and indeed Kogi State.

Charvid prayed for the repose of the soul of the departed Comrade and also that God should be merciful in judgement.

Charvid consoled his wife, children, extended family members, Aiyegunle Gbede Community and Kogi State in general for the irreparable loss. He prayed that God Almighty should stop the untimely death of our young and vibrant Youths.
