Kogi Based Chinese Company Donates Cash to Security Agencies

In a bid to boost the Morale of Security Agencies, a Chinese Company, Pioneer Wood Processing in Yagba East Local Government Area of Kogi State has donated cash worth millions of Naira to various security agencies in the Area.

Representative of the Company, Gan Angus while speaking at the brief ceremony held at Isanlu, said the donation was in appreciation of the unprecedented contributions of Security Agencies to the safety for the Company to thrive.

According to him, the Company believes in motivating officers and men of various security outfits to enable them perform better and optimally.

He commended the Federal and Kogi State Goverments for engaging Local hunters in ensuring effective Community Policing and a peaceful atmosphere for doing business.

Angus maintained that the Company with over 600 hundred workers cannot afford to give back to Security Agents who have been working tirelessly for the protection of Chinese Nationals in the Local Government.

Last year, our Chinese were kidnapped three times and we spoke with the Paramount Ruler of Isanlu and the Nigerian Government who engaged Local Hunters who provided intelligence that has helped in the arrest and death of the kidnappers.

He added that plans are on to make the support to security agencies a continuous one so as to encourage them to do more.

In his remarks, the Agbana of Isanlu, HRM Oba Moses Etombi advocated a better welfare for security agencies and Local Hunters particularly, saying the gesture is timely and first of its kind in the history of the Local Government.

“We are here to appreciate our various security agencies for what they have been doing in Isanlu land and Yagba East as a whole and for the Chinese Community here to now brought out a token. Actually, the Company cannot pay them but in appreciation of keeping their legitimate business safe and keeping their workers safe without any hindrances or security breach.”

According to him, all the security agencies have been up and doing, pointing out that the synergy among them have made the Local Government a peaceful place for doing business.

He charged them to sustain the tempo of protection of lives and property, while urging the people to assist security personnel with information that would help to better protect the Area.

The Director of Security, Yagba East Local Government, Alebiosu Rafiu, thanked the Company for the display of generosity, adding that it will spur them to do more.
