Nigerian Activist, Amb. Hamzat Lawal has expressed sadness over the death of the death of the former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Lamurde.
Amb. Lawal, the Chief Executive Officer of Connected Development in a tweet on his X handle formally Twitter described the demise of the form Anti Graft Agency Boss as a great loss to the Country, particularly the fight against Corruption.
I am deeply saddened by the news of DIG Ibrahim Lamurde’s passing, a former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). His demise is a tremendous loss to our nation, especially in the fight against corruption, which he tirelessly championed.W
He states that “While death is inevitable, let us find solace in the knowledge that his unwavering commitment to eradicating corruption and unethical financial practices will continue to inspire us.
Under his leadership, the EFCC achieved groundbreaking successes, and his unshakeable resolve leaves a lasting legacy that I deeply admire to emulate.
He prayed Allah to grant him eternal peace and comfort his family and loved ones during this difficult time.
