On Saturday, November 16, 2024, an Agriculture Training and Empowerment program organized by Rt. Hon. (Dr.) James Abiodun Faleke took place at Baptist High School, (BHS) Ekinrin Adde, Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi State.
The event which attracted over 200 youths from across the Local Government Area and was aimed at enhancing cassava production in the area.

This initiative is part of the larger effort of Rt. Hon. Faleke to leverage agriculture for economic empowerment and sustainable development in Kogi State.
The training was conducted by DEE VIN CATALYST INVESTMENT NIG. LTD., focusing on various facets of cassava cultivation, including best practices and strategies to maximize production.
Participants were not only educated on theoretical aspects but were also involved in practical discussions that encouraged engagement and knowledge sharing.
By the conclusion of the program, attendees were equipped with essential insights into cassava farming, highlighting its importance for future prospects and food security in Nigeria.
The emphasis on cassava as a viable agricultural option reflects its significant potential to create job opportunities and boost local economies.
