ADC Loses Another Chieftain in Kogi As Hon. Obadunmi Joins APC

A Chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Hon. Emmanuel Obadunmi has defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

 

Hon. Obadunmi made this known in a statement obtained by The Drum Reporter on Wednesday.

The statement reads “This is to notify my political supporters and associates that I am officially announcing changing my political party from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) back to the ALL PROGRESSIVE CONGRESS ( APC).”

 

According to him, he had left the ruling party because of what he called anomalies in Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency which has been corrected.

 

“The earlier defection from the party was to correct some anomalies in our federal constituency and that has been achieved with the emergence of our current house of representative member and star boy, Rt.Hon Salman Idris.

 

“It is no longer news that a new sheriff is in town , H/E Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and doing fantastically well, meeting the yearnings and aspirations of the good people of my constituency, Ijumu,and Kogi state, coupled with the excellent work of good administration that has commenced in Ijumu Local government by the Executive council chairman, Hon Haruna Ibrahim, making it much easier to return, join, support and propagate the good legacies they are laying down for a new Kogi state and Ijumu respectively.

 

“That our star boy, Rt.Hon Idris Salman, MHR, who we worked for, supported has seen the light in Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo good works, vision and mission and has joined him in APC to achieve the good for our people. I am convinced to follow suite.

 

“That remaining in opposition will do more harm to my esteem followers and people, hence the move to quickly affiliate with the party of the people, APC.

 

He stated that “The APC has been a party we joined in building in the wake of our leader and New Direction maestro, H/E Alh Yahaya Adoza Bello, who no doubt has cleared the path, laid a good foundation for his successor H/E Ahmed Usman Ododo to flourish on, of which I am privileged to serve in various positions that add credence to the party, her administration and various election victories.”
