The Provost of Kogi State College of Education, Ankpa, Dr. Paul Femi Fashagba has reaffirmed his commitment to transparency and accountability.
Dr. Fashagba also directed those in possession of Assets /property of the College to return them immediately or face the wrath of the law.
This follows the submission of the interim report by the College Committee on Asset Recovery.
Speaking after receiving the committee’s findings, Dr. Fashagba stated unequivocally, “All college assets taken away must be returned.”
This statement signals a renewed resolve to recover government-owned properties and ensure their proper use for educational and administrative purposes.
The Committee on Asset Recovery, inaugurated earlier this year, was tasked with identifying, documenting, and retrieving college assets that may have been improperly removed or are currently unaccounted for.
The interim report, submitted at the Provost’s office, highlights progress made in tracing critical assets/equipment, Like, Automobiles, fixtures & fittings, furniture, and other institutional assets.
Dr. Fashagba commended the committee for its diligence and transparency, emphasizing that asset accountability is central to institutional integrity and the effective delivery of the College’s mandate.
“Every asset belonging to the College must be accounted for. The administration will not condone any form of misuse, misapplications and negligence. This is a collective responsibility, and everyone must play their part,” the Provost added.
The final report of the committee is expected in the coming months, and further actions will be taken based on its recommendations.
