A group known as All Progressives Congress APC Youth Movement, Kogi State Chapter has appointed the Provost of College of Education Ankpa, Dr. Paul Femi Fashagba as its Chairman, Advisory Board.
This is in recognition of his disposition to the advancement of the cause of Youths in Kogi State and Nigeria and contributions to the development of the ruling party.
State Coordinator of the Movement, Comr. Samso Mona Ekele during a visit to the Provost announced the nomination, saying apart from being a grassroots Politician, the College has made significant progress under his leadership.
Represented by Mustapha Abah, Kogi East Coordinator of the Group, the Coordinator congratulated him on his appointment which according to him is well deserved and strategic.

“Your appointment as the Provost of COE Ankpa by Gov. Ahmed Usman Ododo and a remarkable celebration of 100 days in office recently. It’s evidence of your good work for the development of the institution. May your era continue to be more prosperous and impactful for the people of our dear State.
“It’s my honor and rare privilege to introduce to you one of the best, active, reputable, recognized, registered and certified partisan Youth group of the All Progressives Congress the APC. The group is a well structured Youth Wing that cut across the 21 LGAs of Kogi State. A Youth group that originally defected from the PDP who has now dutifully collapsed the structure of their Kogi State chapter to APC in order to support, mobilize and canvas votes for the mandate of Ododo/Joel in the 2023 Governorship election.
He noted that ahead of the next general elections, “Our mission is to actualize 60% of the voting strength of the total youth population in Kogi State for APC.”
The Coordinator added that the movement is satisfied with the remarkable achievements of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo in office, pointing out that they are committed to his reelection bid.
Responding, Dr. Fashagba said he was overwhelmed by the recognition accorded him by the Youth Movement, expressing appreciation to the Governor for the opportunity given to him to serve.
According to him, he has accepted the responsibility and pledged his support to the body towards achieving set goals.
He tasked them to take the lead in educating eligible voters especially youths to register in the ongoing Continuous Voters Registration.
The Provost added that the performance of Gov. Ododo has already campaigned for him as he is accepted and respected by the people of the State.
He maintained that he is committed to any move that will ensure an overwhelming victory for the Governor to enable him to sustain his good work.
