A Chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Chief David Shola Aiyedogbon has condoled with members of Ijumu Traditional Council, Aiyegunle Gbede Community and indeed Ijumu people over the death of Oba Michael Ayeni, the Olu of Aiyegunle Gbede

In a condolences message released by his Special Assistant, Azeez Abdullateef, Barr. Aiyedigbon popularly known as Charvid, said he received the news of the death of the Traditional Ruler with a rude shock.

He stated that the exit of the Monarch at this time, is painful, to say the least.

“His wealth of experience, his immense wisdom and his commitment to seeing a greater Aiyegunle Gbede and a better Ijumu are note worthy.

The Grassroots Politician further notes that, “While his demise understandably leaves a huge vaccum to fill, I urge the people of Aiyegunle Gbede, Ijumu and Kogi State to imbibe the spirit of generosity, peace, tolerance and unity, which the late Traditional Ruler exemplified in his life time.

He however admonished Ijumu Traditional Council and the people of Aiyegunle Gbede to take solace in the fact that the late monarch left behind good virtues worthy of emulation.

Barr. Aiyedogbon prayed God to grant the soul of Oba Michael Ayeni eternal rest and comfort the family, friends, associates, the community and subjects that he left behind.

“On behalf of myself, my family and the entire Team Charvid, I commiserate with our people on this great loss. May God grant us the fortitude to bear the loss.”
