A coalition made up of representatives from Kogi State’s three senatorial districts—West, Central, and East—was formed yesterday to advance the Wealth Creation agenda of Otunba Olayinka Braimoh, the Action Alliance party’s candidate for governor in 2023.

The group, known as Braimoh Associates, have individuals that represents different comminities, associations and interest groups across Kogi State with the sole aim of promoting the generation, equitable distribution, and retention of wealth within the state.

This vision is designed to ensure that, through the deliberate efforts of Otunba Olayinka Braimoh, business development training and sustainable empowerment initiatives are implemented throughout the state, beginning in Kogi West, his home district.

During the more than one hundred town hall meetings he held with Kogi residents in 2023, Braimoh highlighted that Kogi State is inherently rich in resources, yet its citizens are struggling amidst abundance due to a lack of visionary leadership. His mission is to address this issue by fostering wealth through the STAT Agenda (Solid Minerals, Tourism, Agriculture, and Trade).

While this is ideally accomplished through executive authority, Braimoh, who has not worked in public office before, will, from the first quarters of this year start to lay the groundwork for this agenda by empowering his loyalists, community, local government area, federal constituency, senatorial district, and the state as a whole. This will be complemented by comprehensive training on the scalability and sustainability of the wealth created.

In congratulating all members of Braimoh Associates, supporters, party affiliates, and the citizens of the state, we must recognize the distinct difference between being given fish and being taught how to fish. Braimoh aims to educate us on how to fish through the STAT Agenda, and this can only be fully realized if we all extend our necessary support through our votes.

Long live Braimoh Associates
Long live Otunba Olayinka Braimoh
Long live Kogi State.
