Braimoh Boost Girl Child Education in Bunu Land, Offers Scholarships to 100 Female Students

The Olayinka Braimoh Initiative (OBI), a humanitarian group founded by Otunba Olayinka Braimoh, which is on a mission to support vulnerable communities, especially in Kogi State has recently awarded scholarships to 100 girl child in Bunu District of Kabba-Bunu Local Government area.

 

The demonstrates the commitment of the, former Kogi State Governorship Candidate to empowering young people, particularly women, through education.

 

Braimoh shared this exciting news during the launch of the Bunu Women Development Forum (BWDF) held at Odo-Ape, where he was the Chairman of the occasion.

 

Otunba Braimoh, who recently defected from Action Alliance to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) said the move was in remembrance of his mother, Mrs. Margaret Omonipo Braimoh.

 

“I remember vividly that my late mother happened to be the first ever university graduate in Bunu land, and she played a crucial role in helping many women pursue their education in our community. Continuing her legacy is important to me. Today, I’m thrilled to announce that, through the Olayinka Braimoh Initiative, I will be providing scholarships to 100 women from Bunu, he reminisced.

 

He also pointed out, “We have many unemployed graduates in our society. While some might say the government can’t solve every problem, the truth is that it has the means to create various platforms to address unemployment and other societal issues.”

 

In closing, he expressed his appreciation to the Bunu Women Development Forum for their efforts in driving the economic development of Bunu land.

 

Olayinka Braimoh is from Akutupa Kiri in Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu LGA and was the gubernatorial candidate of the Action Alliance in the 2023 general election in the state.
