Otunba Olayinka Braimoh has expressed deep sorrow over the death of His Royal Highness, Brigadier General Abu Ali (Rtd.), the Etsu Bassa-Nge, describing his passing as a painful loss to Kogi State and Nigeria at large.
Braimoh noted that the late Etsu Bassa-Nge was a revered traditional ruler, a decorated military officer, and a symbol of courage and integrity whose lifetime of service left an indelible mark on his people and the nation. He commiserated with the Bassa-Nge Kingdom, the Bassa Local Government, and the entire Kogi State traditional institution, praying for comfort for his immediate family and all those affected by the loss.
He further urged the people to take solace in the remarkable legacy of leadership, sacrifice, and patriotism that the late monarch embodied throughout his military and traditional reign.
“May Almighty God grant his soul eternal rest and give his family and the Bassa-Nge Kingdom the strength to bear this irreparable loss,” Braimoh added.
