The Provost, Kogi State College of Education Ankpa, Dr. Femi Paul Fashagba has celebrated the State Commissioner of Education, Hon. Wemi Jones as he marks another birthday.
Dr. Fashagba in a Congratulatory Message personally signed by him, described Hon. Jones as the architect of modern Education in Kogi State with innovations that has continued to place the sector on the right pedestal.
I celebrate my Commissioner of Education, Hon. Wemi Jones a workaholic man, Technocrat, who has brought his wealth of experience to bear in the development of education in Kogi, the Confluence State.
According to Dr. Fashagba, a lot has been recorded in Kogi Education Sector since Hon. Wemi Jones took over affairs of the Education Ministry with establishment of two State Universities with all its programmes fully accredited.
He further applauded the move by the Commissioner for improved funding of Education with the annual 30% Budgetary Allocation to the Sector which he noted has necessitated the development being witnessed in the Sector.
He also described the Commissioner as a Leader, who has proven beyond reasonable doubt that he has all it takes to reposition Education in Kogi.
The Provost applauded immediate past Governor Alh. Yahaya Bello for providing the needed support with the provision of solid foundation for the sector, pointing out that the current Governor, His Excellency, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo has built on the legacies.
While urging Hon. Jones to sustain his outstanding performance for Education in Kogi State, Dr. Fashagba pledged his support and commitment to the all round development of the sector.
He prayed for unlimited wisdom and sound health to do more for the Government and people of Kogi State.
