In a historic gathering aimed at strengthening unity and accelerating development, the Governor’s Aide, Comrade Obafemi Rufus, has called on the people of Ileteju Community to sustain their unwavering support for the administration of Ahmed Usman Ododo.
The appeal was made during a strategic meeting convened by the Ileteju Council of Chiefs under the leadership of Baale Oloka Oloruntobi.
The meeting, described as the first of its kind, was held at the Baale’s palace and focused on discussing progress, unity, security, and sustainable development within the Ileteju Community, while also strengthening collaboration between traditional leadership and government representatives.
Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Rufus expressed profound appreciation to the Baale and the Council of Chiefs for initiating what he described as a timely and visionary engagement.

“I sincerely appreciate the Baale of Ileteju and the Council of Chiefs for convening this meeting at such a critical time. This initiative is commendable and historic. It reflects true leadership and a shared commitment to the progress of our community,” he said.
The Governor’s Aide noted that the meeting was fruitful and engaging, with robust discussions centered on security, education, and youth development.

He emphasized the importance of collective responsibility in addressing security challenges and creating opportunities for young people to thrive.
Providing updates on the state government’s strides in the education sector, Comrade Rufus highlighted the monumental achievements recorded under Governor Ododo’s administration. He reiterated the Governor’s unwavering commitment to making education accessible to all citizens.
According to him, education in the state is completely free, with the government covering both internal and external examination fees to ease the financial burden on parents and guardians.
“His Excellency is committed to ensuring that education remains highly accessible to every child in the state. This is why tuition is free, and examination fees—both internal and external—are fully paid by the government,” he stated.
Comrade Rufus further urged the people of Ileteju to embrace peace, unity, and harmony as essential pillars for sustainable development. He stressed that meaningful growth can only thrive in an atmosphere of cooperation and mutual respect.
He also appealed to the community to continue supporting the Ododo administration, noting that sustained backing would guarantee more dividends of democracy and accelerated development for Ileteju and beyond.
“All government appointees under this administration are fully committed to working hand in hand with the Baale and the Council of Chiefs to bring tangible democratic dividends to our dear community,” he assured.
