Kogi West Senatorial Candidate on the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Barrister Dele Bello William has described the deplorable condition of the Kabba-Egbe road as a tragic travesty of development in Okunland.
He made this known during an interactive session with news hounds in Kabba recently.
He rued the suffering and untold hardships of the people and the negative impact of the bad road on agriculture and commerce in the area and wondered why policy makers of the years do not see the reason to fix the road.
Barrister Dele Bello William asserted that the issue of the road borders on the survival of the people and must not be viewed as a mere political matter.
He wondered how anyone would expect the agricultural value chain to function with the distressing condition of the road in an area with agriculture as the mainstay of the people.
Barrister Dele Bello William declared that fixing the road is non negotiable as its present condition is unacceptable.
On fixing the road, he said, ‘ I will work with building a coalition of a serious pressure point made up of people of intelligence, will and character to rebuild the road”
The senatorial candidate of African Democratic Congress (ADC) lamented that the road is a blight on every Okun person and urged the coming together of leaders in Okunland to remove the stain on the collective reputation of the people.
He however urged the federal government to hand over the road to Okun people as it appears there is no noticeable will on the part of the federal government to fix the road.
He assured of the capacity of the people to rebuild the road with the permission of the federal government.
Barrister Dele Bello William assured the constituents of Kogi West of quality representation that will attract unprecedented development when he is elected to the Red Chambers.
