The Provost of the Kogi State College of Education, Ankpa, Dr. Paul Femi Fashagba, on Sunday received senior directors of the Fiscal Policy Commission (FPC) who visited the college on a familiarisation tour aimed at deepening institutional understanding and collaboration.
The delegation, comprising senior FPC officials, was received by the Provost in his office.

The visit gave the officials the opportunity to brief college management on the Commission’s mandate, functions and activities, while fostering better understanding of its role in promoting sound fiscal policy and financial governance.
A highlight of the visit was the formal presentation of the revised and gazetted Laws of the Fiscal Policy Commission to the Provost — a document expected to serve as key reference material for the college and boost awareness of, and compliance with, relevant fiscal policy provisions.
Speaking during the visit, Dr. Fashagba thanked the delegation for including the college in its familiarisation engagements.
He commended the Commission for ensuring that relevant institutions and stakeholders are properly informed about its mandate, legal framework and responsibilities.
The Provost noted that such visits help bridge the gap between policy institutions and educational establishments, particularly in promoting transparency, accountability and effective implementation of government policies.
He assured the delegation of the college’s readiness to sustain a cordial relationship with the Commission and support initiatives that improve implementation of fiscal policies.
The engagement ended on a positive note, with both parties expressing optimism that it would strengthen institutional cooperation and open up further opportunities for knowledge sharing.
