As Muslims across the nation celebrate this year’s Eid al-Fitr, the Wife of the Kogi State Governor, Hajia Sefinat Usman Ododo, has urged citizens to strengthen the bonds of unity and sacrifice that sustain a peaceful society.

In her Sallah message, the First Lady emphasized that peaceful coexistence remains key to growth and development, noting that without love and compassion, meaningful progress cannot be achieved in any society.

She noted that the Ramadan period rekindles values of sacrifice, kindness, and care for the less privileged, urging citizens to sustain these virtues beyond the holy month to build a more inclusive society.

Mrs Ododo further called for modest celebrations, support for the needy, and stronger ties with one another in the community, while advising parents to guide their children away from harmful influences.

While reaffirming her commitment to women, children, and vulnerable groups, she wished the Muslim Ummah and the people of Kogi State a fulfilling celebration, stating that “the lessons of Ramadan must guide our actions as we build a united, compassionate, and progressive society.”
