Ekinrin-Adde Day 2024: Retired Police Investigator, Chief Omotola to Receive Life-Time Achievement Award

A retired Senior Investigative Officer of the Nigeria Police Force, Chief Johnson Omotola has been named as one of the recipients of Ekinrin-Adde Life-Time Achievement Award for the year 2024.

 

This development was communicated to the media by the spokesperson of Ekinrin-Adde community, Adewale Victor Adekanye.

 

A Life-Time Achievement Award is a honour bestowed on the sons and daughters of the Community who have successfully served the country, humanity and our Community and have retired from active service.

 

Chief Johnson Omotola was born 75 years ago in Ekinrin-Adde. He attended Baptist Primary School, Ekinrin-Adde, between 1961 and 1967. He was enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force in November 1968. On completion of his training, he was posted to the security section of the Nigeria Police, then known as the Nigeria Security Organization (NSO), in 1976.

 

Chief Omotola attended the Nigeria Police College between 1968 and 1969, where he excelled in his training. He handled various assignments in Maiduguri and Mubi in then Gongola State, now Adamawa State. Notably, heading the Alien Department in Ajaokuta for 10 years where he showcased expertise in his job. His top-notch performance led to his posting as a transport officer in Lokoja and later to Kabba.

 

Throughout his distinguished career, Chief Omotola attended numerous professional courses, enhancing his skills and knowledge security operations. His dedication to service earned him the rank of Senior Investigative Officer 1 (S.I.O), equivalent to three stars in the service in those days, a testament to his leadership and investigative prowess.

 

Chief Omotola retired in Kano State in January 2021. He is now based at home, quietly managing his business, and remains a respected Community leader. He is happily married with Children.
