The Elulu of Mopa, and Chairman, Mopamuro Traditional Council, HRM. Oba (Dr.) Muyiwa Ibeun, has endorsed the forthcoming 100 Most Influential and Impactful Global Nigerians Award.

The endorsement was given when the Award Planning Committee paid a courtesy visit to the monarch at his residence in Lokoja, Kogi State.

The delegation was led by the Planning Committee Chairman, Hon. John Oniwaye Ogede.

Receiving the team, Oba Ibeun described the award as a timely platform to celebrate Nigerians driving positive change both at home and in the diaspora.

He commended the organizers, the International Institute of Chartered Peace, Conflict, Climate Change and Technology Strategy Management, for their vision and commitment to national development, and pledged his full support for the success of the programme.

“I am delighted to identify with this laudable initiative that seeks to recognize excellence, service and impact. Celebrating those who contribute to peace, development and global relevance of Nigeria is worthy of royal blessing and support,” the monarch said.

Highlight of the visit was the conferment of a Global Ambassadorial Award on Oba Ibeun in recognition of his exceptional leadership and contributions to peace and conflict resolution, advancement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), climate action and environmental sustainability.

The plaque was presented by Dr. Arewa Abiola Abimbola, Dr. Abadunmi Sunday, Hon. Ogede and other members of the committee.

Responding, Oba Ibeun thanked the committee and reiterated his commitment to championing peace, unity and sustainable development in Mopamuro, Kogi State and Nigeria at large.

Earlier, Hon. Ogede thanked the Elulu for his fatherly reception, noting that the royal endorsement adds immense credibility and prestige to the awards.

He disclosed that the event is scheduled to hold on December 3, 2026, at the Abuja Continental Hotel, Abuja, and will honour distinguished Nigerians from governance, business, traditional institution, climate action, technology, entertainment and community development who have demonstrated exceptional influence and impact.

According to the organizers, the award is designed to inspire a new generation of patriotic Nigerians committed to nation-building and global excellence.
