The 2025 Akinrin Day and launch of a groundbreaking N200 million infrastructure development project is to hold on 14th June.
According to a statement by Aribido Shola Samuel, Chairman of the Planning Committee, the event will also feature the grand finale of the Akinrin Inter-School Debate featuring talented students from 16 secondary schools in Kabba Bunu and Ijumu.
It reads “The Ekinrin community joyfully invites you to celebrate *Akinrin Day 2025* with us! Join us for a vibrant showcase of our rich cultural heritage, the launch of a groundbreaking 200 million naira infrastructure development project, and the grand finale of the Akinrin Inter-School Debate featuring talented students from 16 secondary schools in Kabba Bunu and Ijumu.”
The event will take place at the Akinrin Multipurpose Event Centre, Merijon, Ekinrin-Adde at 10:00 AM Prompt.
The Committee named Mr. Ade Ademola as Chairman of the Occasion with Mrs. Lara Israel and Chief James Abiodun Faleke as Chairlady and Distinguished Host respectively while HRM. Oba Johnson Kolade Otitoju, Egbo Lona 1, Akinrin of Ekinrin is the Royal Host.
The Distinguished Guests of Honour are Alhaji Usman Ododo, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Hon. Wemi Jones, Commissioner for Education, Barrister Ozigi Deedat, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs and Alh. Ibrahim Haruna, Executive Chairman of Ijumu Local Government Area.
Others are; Hon. Salman Idris, Member Representing Kabba Bunu and Ijumu Federal Constituency and Hon. Leke Abejide, Member Representing Yagba East, Yagba West, and Mopa Amuro Federal Constituency.
