FOMWAN Okunland 14th Conference Begins May 19th

The 14th Annual Conference of Federation of Muslim Women’s Association (FOMWAN) Okunland chapter of Kogi State begins on Thursday 19th May, 2022 with arrival of participants.

The Annual Conference enable Okun Muslim women from, Kabba-Bunu, Ijumu, Mopamuro, Yagba East and West as well as Oworo District to come together and brainstorm on issues affecting the female folks.

The Conference according to a statement by Alhaji T. A. Elega, the Alanu of FOMWAN Okunland will hold at Igbagun Community Secondary School is with the theme: “Towards Inclusive Development in the Post Covid-19 Era, Prospects and the Role of Muslim Women in Africa.”

Guest Speaker at the Conference is Hajia Rufia Suleiman, a Health Expert with Kogi State Ministry of Health, Lokoja.

The opening ceremony is scheduled for Friday at 10am while members and participants are enjoined to be punctual.
