The Senator representing Kogi West, Smart Adeyemi has sent his condolence to the people of Kiri over the demise of Oba Jerome Mosiko, the Olukiri of Kiri land in Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State.
The Senator in a condolence message personally signed by him, expressed rude shock over the death of the Kiri Oba.
“A condolence message by: Senator Smart Adeyemi The transition news of the Olukiri of Kiri Kingdom, His Highness, Oba Jerome Mosiko came to me as a rude shock. I must confessed that it pains and grief my heart. While the late Olukiri transited from this world at quite a ripe age, it is however painful that he joined his ancestors at a time we needed him the most.”
He points out that “The Late Oba Mosiko was not only a father to me, he was a man who relate with me as a friend, He holds my hand as well as my heart.”
“Even though I understand the biblical injunction that there is time for everything under the sun, particularly a time to be born and a time to die – I only take solace that your time on earth was well spent. You lived for a long year and had a fulfilled life.”
Sen. Adeyemi described the reign of Oba Mosiko as peaceful, saying he would be remembered for his good legacies.
“I therefore sympathize and empathize with the Mosiko Dynasty, the good people of Kiri Kingdom, Bunu Land and Okun Traditional Council in general over the transition of the people’s monarch and I pray God to grant the entire family and the good people of Kiri Kingdom the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.”
