Gov. Bello’s Aide Donates Constituency Allowance to Kogi Community

Hon. Ibikunle Abubakar Amodu, Senior Special Assistant to Kogi State Governor on Youth Empowerment (West) on Friday did the took people by surprise by donating his Constituency allowance to  Ayegunle Gbede Development Union.
Though the Amount which was not disclosed, The Drum Reporters gathered has been paid into the Account of the Community Development Union.

The Governor’s Aide in a statement said “As you all may be aware or adequately informed, that His Excellency Governor Yahaya Bello, earlier Friday 8th of July, 2022, empowered his appointees and cabinet members the annual constituency allowance for further propagation of his developmental works across the state.”

He further said that “It is on this note that I, your humble servant who is privileged to be a State Government Appointee in the capacity of a Senior Special Assistant to the Governor, His Excellency Governor Yahaya Bello, on Youth Empowerment (West) wishes to remit the exact figures paid into my account on 8th July, 2022 as constituency allowance into Ayegunle Gbede Development Union (AGDU) bank account, for proper utilization of the funds.”

I do not lay a single claim to this money, but giving it back to the people for their use in whichever areas they see fit within my immediate constituency.
He urged the Union to make good use of this funds, thanking them for their support and prayers since his appointment for over one year.
Hon, Amodu urged the people of the Community to continue to support Governor Yahaya Bello, who he noted meant well for the people of the state.
