The 36 Political Elevation Group (36 PEG), under the leadership of Prince Dan Olaitan Dada, President, strongly support Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa (BOB) as a formidable aspirant for the governorship of Kwara State under the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Prince Dan in a statement noted that the candidacy of BOB embodies the party’s values of merit and inclusivity.
According to him, “It’s time to acknowledge the rotational nature of leadership in Kwara State. The governorship seat is due for Kwara South, and among the aspiring candidates from the region, it’s Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa’s (BOB) turn to lead. We believe that BOB is the right candidate to take the reins and drive Kwara State forward.”
We condemn attempts to undermine BOB’s candidacy through sponsored protests and divisive rhetoric. Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, who has benefited from the party’s consensus approach, should be a champion of unity, not a source of discord. His alleged role in orchestrating opposition to BOB’s candidacy is a betrayal of the trust reposed in him.
It states that”BOB’s track record of service, loyalty, and competence is unassailable. He has consistently demonstrated his ability to deliver results and connect with the people. As a seasoned politician, he has served with distinction in various capacities, and it’s time for him to take on the highest office in the state.”
We urge all APC stakeholders to rally behind BOB and reject this attempt to sow discord. The party’s strength lies in its unity, and we must not let individual ambitions derail our collective progress. The people of Kwara State are watching, and they expect us to put the interests of the state above personal interests.
The President added that “We are ready to go the extra mile to support BOB’s candidacy and ensure that the will of the people is respected. The future of Kwara State is at stake, and we will not compromise on unity and progress.”
