The Okun Concern Citizens have formed a committee to welcome Hon. Prof Abdulsalam Nasir Naeem, the newly appointed Managing Director of Ajaokuta Steel Company.
The committee, comprising esteemed members, aims to showcase the community’s appreciation for Prof Naeem’s achievement, according to a statement by Kamaldeen Toyin, head of Publicity.
Led by key members, including Chief Olatunji Olusoji (Finance), Hon. Funsho Olumoko to be deputies by Hon Omotayo Ishaya (Contact & Mobilisation), and Dr Toyin Kamal (Publicity), Hon Dayo Akanmode (Financial Secretary/Treasurer ) among others, the committee is working tirelessly to ensure a grand reception.
The event promises to be an exciting celebration, with entertainment handled by Mr Adetayo Opeyemi Duke and Mrs Toyin Kosoko. Amb Oladele John Nihi will lead Youth Mobilisation efforts, while Hon. Boye Bello serves as General Coordinator.
The immediate past ALGON chairman of Kogi State, Dr Taofiq Isah is the Chairman of planning committee while Mr Wale Olumobi will serve as the secretary.
The event which will be chaired by His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Bello has the Executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Usman Ahmed Ododo as the distinguished special guest of honour while Prince Olusola Akanmode is the guest speaker.
The Obaro of Kabba, Oba Dele Owoniyi and the Olujumu of Ijumu Kingdom, Oba Olusegun Ayeni are the royal fathers of the day. Chief Mrs Folashade Joseph will serve as the chairperson of the day.
This gathering demonstrates the community’s support for Prof Naeem’s leadership at Ajaokuta Steel Company and the reception is expected to strengthen bonds and foster unity among community members.
