A group known as Comrade Onuh Edoka Women International Network, COEWIN, has been officially launched in support of the Special Adviser on Labour matters, Comrade Onuh Edoka ahead of the twenty twenty seven election.

Speaking at the event in Lokoja, the Coordinator of the group, Hon. EleOjo Glory Oguche said the launch of the organization was to support the political aspiration of Comrade Onuh Edoka for the House of Representatives for Ankpa-Omala-Olamaboro federal constituency.

Hon. EleOjo noted that the choice and support for Onuh Edoka was not just mere, but a resolve to ensure better and greater representation of the federal constituency in 2027.

“This day is more than just an inauguration. It is the birth of a visionary movement — a collective of courageous, resilient, and determined women who have chosen not just to support a cause, but to champion a future. A future we believe in, a future we are building with unity, strategy, and purpose”, she stated.

According to her, COEWIN did not emerge by chance, explaining that it was conceived by the Favour Foundation, an organization rooted in compassion, empowerment, and justice for women and was further nurtured by the Patriotic Movement for Asiwaju/Shettima 2023 Presidential Support Group, which believed that women are not just voters but vital stakeholders in shaping the political destiny of our communities.

“And today, that belief is manifest. The strength of COEWIN is already evident in its structure — 651 women drawn from Ankpa Federal Constituency, working in synergy across our three LGAs: Ankpa, Omala, and Olamaboro”.

“Let me commend the coordinators who have taken up the mantle of leadership at various levels:

• In Ankpa LGA, we have 1 Local Government Coordinator, 13 Ward Coordinators, and an impressive 292 Polling Unit Coordinators.

• In Omala LGA, we have 1 Local Government Coordinator, 11 Ward Coordinators, and 174 Polling Unit Coordinators.

• In Olamaboro LGA, we have 1 Local Government Coordinator, 10 Ward Coordinators, and 148 Polling Unit Coordinators.

This level of grassroots mobilization is historic and strategic. It speaks of one thing — readiness. We are ready to champion the emergence of a man who has stood the test of service, integrity, and capacity — Comrade Onuh Edoka — for the House of Representatives, Ankpa Federal Constituency 2027”. Hon. EleOjo added.

The Coordinator stressed that Comrade Onuh Edoka is not just a candidate; but a tested comrade, a bridge between leadership and the people, a symbol of advocacy, courage, and transformation — values that COEWIN shares and upholds.

“To every woman here, you are not just supporters; you are stakeholders. You are the voice in the market square, the strength behind the scenes, and the power in the polling units. What we are building through COEWIN is not just a political platform, but a revolution of inclusion, participation, and leadership.

Let me take this moment to salute the founders of this movement and to assure you of my unwavering support. Together, we will drive this noble cause to its destination. Together, we will raise the banner of equity and representation. Together, we will send a clear message: the women of Ankpa, Omala, and Olamaboro are not just present; we are prepared, organized, and unstoppable.

“As we launch COEWIN today, let us go forth with confidence, with unity, and with a renewed sense of purpose. The road ahead may not be easy, but our resolve is unshakable. With women like you, victory is not just possible — it is inevitable”, Hon. EleOjo concluded.

Also speaking, a strong supporter in Onuh Edoka political movement, Doctor Dangana Bawa commended the COEWIN for the step, urging the executive and members to keep the vision Alive, mobilize massively and ensure victory.

Others who spoke, including Mr Ageli une Friday and other coordinators from the federal constituency assured of a ruburst outing and called on everyone to sustain prayers for the group members, Comrade Onuh Edoka and the federal constituency at large.
