Kogi State Governor, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo on Friday asked the Ijumu Local Government Traditional Council to thank Provost of the State College of Education Ankpa, Dr. Paul Femi Fashagba for grooming him academically for leadership.
Gov. Ododo said this while addressing the Monarchs at the Palace of Olujumu of Ijumu Kingdom, during a Traditional Homage during the Grand Reception to mark the Defection of Asiwaju Olatunji Olusoji to the ruling All Progressives Congress APC.
The Governor, who was a student of Dr. Fashagba during his National Diploma and Higher National Diploma Programmes in Accountancy, Federal Polytechnic Bida Niger State, described him as an asset to the State.
“I want all the people of Ijumu to appreciate Dr. Fashagba for me, he mentored us, trained us and we are what we are today.
He noted that he is proud of the outstanding performance of the Provost since he assumed office earlier this year, urging to sustain the good work.
The Governor expressed appreciation to Ijumu people for their support to his administration, assuring of his resolve to provide more dividends of democracy.
