The Candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for Yagba Federal Constituency, Engr. Folorunsho Daniel says his decision to contest is because of the empathy he has for the people of the Area.
Engr. Olafemi said having traveled to about 69 countries, he has gathered experience to use legislative tools zo attract development to the Constituency.
He was speaking on Monday at a Media Parley organized by the Kogi State Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) in Lokoja.
According to him, the Primary that provided the flag he is currently flying was highly contested for as he cannot afford to fail other Aspirants and the people of Yagba land, who gave him overwhelming support.
He noted that since legislation involves lobbying, he would lobby Ministries, Department and Agencies as well as International Community to attract democracy dividends to the people of Yagba.
In Yagba land for instance, we have about 23 Mineral Resources that are yet to be utilized. If voted into power by the grace of God, i will use my position to influence both Local and International attention to Yagba land.
Engr. Olafemi explained that he would maximize his youthfulness to be useful to his constituency through entrepreneurship, leadership exposure, education; provision of bursary and payment of WAEC and JAMB fees.
On agriculture, he promised to encourage youths and women who intend to deviate into farming through engagement of international partners to support agrochemical development within Yagba federal constituency and Kogi State.
On the Strike embarked upon by Academic Staff Union of Universities ASUU, he expressed the belief that the legislature can work with the Federal Government to ensure an amicable resolution of the impasse with the Union.
On Cyber Security, the APC Flag bearer assured of sponsoring bills and ensure standards that protect people, organizations from internet fraudsters.
