IWD: ODA Celebrates Okun Women, Establishes Office of Women Leader

The Okun Development Association (ODA) has reaffirmed its commitment to advancing the development and empowerment of Okun women as the world celebrates International Women’s Day.

 

Amb. Rotimi Akenson, President- General of ODA, emphasized the vital role Okun women play in driving community growth and progress.

 

Amb. Akeson in a statement through Dayo Thomas, National Publicity Secretary Okun Development Association, said to recognise the role of women in nation building, the body has introduced a new office of Women Leader, dedicated to prioritizing women’s development and empowerment.

 

This initiative aims to inspire Okun women to take on more prominent roles in our society. Recognizing the inherent entrepreneurial spirit and work ethic of Okun women, ODA has urged them to continue striving for excellence. By providing necessary support and resources, ODA seeks to unlock the full potential of Okun women.

 

According to him, “To achieve this goal, ODA will collaborate with local governments and relevant agencies, ensuring Okun women secure their rightful positions in society and have equal opportunities to thrive.”
