Iyah-Gbede Development Association (IDA) has expressed its sincere appreciation to Hon. James Abiodun Faleke, member representing Ikeja Federal Constituency for donating Solar Street Lights to the Community.
This is coming few days after The Drum Reporter reported that Egbeda Egga Community Excited As Hon. Faleke Donates 10 All-in-one Solar Street Lights
According to a statement by the National President of the Association, Dr. Emmanuel Jeminiwa, the gesture of the Federal Lawmaker is a clear demonstration of his unalloyed commitment to grassroots development.
The Statement reads “Gbede Iyah-Gbede Community in Ijumu LGA, Kogi State is full of appreciations for the kind gesture of Hon. James Abiodun Faleke for the donation of nine sets of Solar Powered Street Light, yesterday. This development became a reality with the actual installation and activation of each of the Solar Powered Street Lights yesterday.”
As a community, the experience brought to fall the Biblical injunction by God “Let there be light”. This outstanding and kind gesture of the Federal Law Maker is not only a timely intervention but an antidote to security challenges of our time in view of consistent darkness at night due to epileptic power supply to the community by AEDC.

The Community further said “Hon. James Abiodun Faleke, Member representing Ikeja Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representative, has demonstrated unalloyed sense of commitment to grass root community development and as a community, we will not take this gesture for granted. As a community we are proud in benefiting from the magnanimity of the Federal Law Maker’s show of love and passion for Iyah-Gbede Community.”
On behalf of all sons and daughters of Iyah-Gbede community and those in the Diaspora, I wish to express our profound gratitude for your commitment and good heart in facilitating our desired illumination of the Community especially at night. This singular effort will inevitably eliminate or reduce to the barest minimum, the activities of miscreants and evil perpetrators under the guise of thick darkness in the nights.
We however still solicit for more of this gesture from other well-meaning and positive minded individuals for the transformation of Iyah-Gbede Community to bridge her economic, social and infrastructural deficits even as we pray for God’s continuous support in Hon. James Abiodun Faleke’s positive endeavours and in his political career.
