Contrary to speculations its postponement, all is now ready for the 52nd Cultural Tourism Day and Fund Raising of Iyah Gbede Community in Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi State on Saturday 8th October 2022.
In a Statement obtained by Dr. E. O Jeminiwa, National President, Iyah Gbede Development Association, the epoch making event will also feature Fund Raising for Development and execution of Community Critical Projects.
Dignitaries from all walks of life are expected to grace the cultural event.
Those expected are; Dr. Folashade Yemi-Esan, Head of Service of the Federation as Special Guest of Honour, Hon. Leke Abejide, member representing Yagba Federal Constituency as Chief Launcher and Chairman of the Occasion, Amb. Olufunmilayo Bodunde, a Philanthropist and Yeye Oba of Iyara land as Chairperson.
Other dignitaries include; HRM, Oba Williams Olusegun Ayeni, Olujumu of Ijumu kingdom, HRM. Oba Olusegun Oloruntoba, Olugbede of Gbede, Otunba Muyiwa Ibeun, Arch Salman, Prof. J. J Orugun as Guest Speaker, HRH. Oba David Faleke, Olu Iyah as Royal Father of the Day while Mr. John Yele Fagbemi is the Chairman Planning Committee.
The event which will hold at Iyah Gbede Town Hall at 10am, is with the theme “Legacy Projects for Unity and Corporate Coexistence.”
