The Kogi State Internal Revenue Service (KGIRS) has commended the Kogi State College of Education, Ankpa, for its clean tax compliance record, as both institutions moved to integrate the College into the state’s Central School Billing System.

At a high-level meeting held at the College, management teams from both institutions deliberated on the modalities for the integration, addressing existing challenges and agreeing on a roadmap for seamless deployment of the billing system.

The Executive Chairman of KGIRS praised Provost Dr. Paul Femi Fashagba and the College management for maintaining transparency and due process in their financial dealings, describing the institution’s record as clean and reflective of responsible public administration.

He noted that the integration would boost efficiency in revenue collection, strengthen accountability, and support Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s digital transformation agenda for the state.

Also present at the engagement was the Special Adviser to the Governor on Internally Generated Revenue, Dr. Raman Nasir Ichanyi, alongside directors and senior officials of KGIRS.

The delegation also toured key projects and facilities within the College, commending the infrastructural development and institutional reforms recorded under Fashagba’s leadership, which they said have repositioned the institution as one of the state’s leading tertiary colleges.

KGIRS reiterated its commitment to partnering with educational institutions across Kogi State to drive the successful rollout of the Central School Billing System, in support of transparency and sustainable revenue generation.
