KGSSEB Executive Chairman Endorses Governor Ododo Orphan Students Care, Commends Initiative by LSA

The Executive Chairman of the Kogi State Secondary Education Board (KGSSEB), Dr. Habiba Suleiman, has endorsed the Governor Ododo Orphan Students Care (GOOS-Care) initiative.

 

She also commended the Forum of Local Government Special Assistants to the Governor for their proactive vision in ensuring that orphaned students in the State receive educational support and empowerment.

Dr. Suleiman gave her endorsement during a courtesy visit by LSA Forum representatives, led by its Chairman Hon. Comrade Jafar Alim Kamarudeen.

 

In her remarks, Dr. Suleiman praised the idealists behind the initiative, emphasizing that education is a powerful tool for national development and an effective way to uplift vulnerable children. She described the GOOS-Care initiative as a testament to the success of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s administration, which prioritizes grassroots development and inclusive education.

 

She also welcomed a strategic synergy between KGSSEB and the Forum, stating that the Board is ready to collaborate on policies and programs that will enhance educational access and equity for underprivileged students in Kogi State.

 

Speaking on behalf of the Forum, Hon. Comrade Jafar Alim Kamarudeen, the Forum Chairman, expressed gratitude for Dr. Suleiman’s endorsement and encouragement, reaffirming their commitment to working closely with stakeholders to support students in need. He stressed that GOOS-Care is dedicated to providing scholarships, mentorship, and other support systems that will help orphaned students achieve their academic aspirations.

 

The visit marks a significant milestone in fostering partnerships for educational development in Kogi State. With Dr. Suleiman’s backing, the GOOS-Care initiative is set to expand its reach and impact more lives in the secondary education subsector across the state.

 

Other Forum members who attended the Visit include; Hon. Aminu Abdullahi – Forum Secretary General, Hon. Khalid Yunusa – Forum Treasurer and Hon. Aishat Blessing Ekele – Forum Assistant Secretary General.
