The Provost of Kogi State College of Education Ankpa, Dr. Paul Femi Fashagba FCNA has congratulated the State Commissioner for Education, Hon. Wemi Jones as he marks another Birth anniversary.
In a statement made available to Newsmen in Lokoja on Friday, Dr. Fashagba salutes what he called “legacy contributions” of the Commissioner to the State Education Sector.
The Contributions according to the Provost include the establishment of Confluence University of Science and Technology Osara and Kogi State University Kabba under the immediate Past administration of Governor Yahaya Bello and the sustenance of the institutions under the current administration.
“I celebrate our amiable Commissioner of Education, Hon. Wemi Jones on behalf of the Management, staff and Students of Kogi State College of Education Ankpa on the special occasion of his birthday.
There is no doubt in the fact that you are a man, who has demonstrated capacity that has lobbied over 30% budgetary allocation to the Education sector, hence the numerous achievements of your office in both the last and current political dispensations.
Let me salute your unflinching commitment to the providing quality education to the future leaders of our dear State and I know that Kogi State will continue to be proud of you.
Your humility and the distinguished manner you have been piloting Education in the State is commendable and worthy of emulation.
As you mark another year, may Almighty God grant you good health, more wisdom, strength, and clarity of purpose as you continue to provide purposeful leadership and drive the ongoing transformation of our dear state.
He also applauded thanked Hin. Jones for implementing the vision of the present administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo in the education sector.
Dr. Fashagba offered prayers for more wisdom and good health for the Commissioner and his family.
