The Kogi State Government through the Hon. Commissioner for Works and Housing has directed the immediate commencement of work on the internal access roads at the Kogi State College of Education, Ankpa, for easy movement of staff and students.
The commissioner, who visited the College alongside the Media Team from the Kogi State Government, also commended the Provost of Kogi State College of Education (KSCOE), Ankpa, Dr. Paul Femi Fashagba, for his exemplary leadership and visible developmental strides within the institution.
The official visit to the college was aimed at assessing the impact of the current administration on educational institutions across the state.
Speaking during the visit, the Hon Commissioners of Information/Communication and Works/Housing in their separate address, applauded the transformation taking place at KSCOE Ankpa under Dr. Fashagba’s leadership. They noted that the improvements in infrastructure, academic programmes, and administrative reforms are reflective of the state government’s broader vision for revitalizing education.
“What we have seen today is impressive. The leadership of Dr. Fashagba is clearly making a difference. This aligns perfectly with the agenda of His Excellency, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo who remains committed to strengthening education in Kogi State,” he stated.
In his response, Dr. Fashagba expressed appreciation for the visit and the recognition. He reiterated his commitment to academic excellence, institutional growth, and fostering a conducive environment for both staff and students.
“This acknowledgment serves as a motivation to do more. The progress we’ve made so far is a collective effort, and we remain focused on raising the standards of teacher education in the state,” Dr. Fashagba said.
The visit concluded with a guided tour of ongoing and completed projects across the college campus, including renovated lecture halls, Water Bole hole, Buses, Water tanker, solar street lights, security surveillance motor cycles, administrative blocks, and newly introduced digital skills learning and acquisition Centre.
The visit equally underscored the administration’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and celebrating institutions that are driving positive change in the state.
