Kogi NSCDC Boss Harps on Training and Retraining of Security Guards

The Nigeria Security And Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kogi State Command has organized a one day seminar for the State Chapter of Association of Licensed Private Security Practitioners of Nigeria (ALPSPN).

Speaking at the seminar in Lokoja, the State Capital, the State Commandant, Ahmad Gandi said “the role of training and retraining of Security Personnel can not be undermined in guard duties.”

Commandant AA Gandi said the one day seminar organized for ALPSPN is to remind and inculcate the basic requirements of them so as to improve on their module operandi as enshrined in the law establishing them.

 

He expressed appreciation to them for their presences while recognizing them as partners in progress, noting that NSCDC is the only federal government organization that is saddled with the responsibility of regulating the activities of ALPSPN.

 

He charged them to be up and doing especially in training and retraining of their personnel as this will not only boost their productivity, but also enhance discipline amongst the personnel.

 

A A Gandi harped on the need for the association to be very proactive by way of giving intelligence through their personnel who are always on the field to the corps as this will go a long way in nipping on Bud issues that may want to undermine the peace, Security of lives and properties in the State.

Speaking further the Commandant stressed on the importance of taking seriously the welfare packages of their Personnel.

He advised that the welfare of their Personnel should not only be monetary but recognitions, and letter of commendation as these will also spur their personnel to perform excellently and proffesionally well while discharging their duties.

 

The State Commandant A A Gandi assured them of his undiluted and cordial relationship as their regulator and the only agency that is closer to the people as the name implies.

 

He advised them to obey the rules and regulations as all their activities are backed with Sanctions ones they err.

 

Responding, Mr Musa Nbangs, chairman ALPSPN Kogi State Chapter, thanked the State Commandant for finding out time despite his busy schedule to organize a one day seminar for them.

The Chairman who could not hide his joy, said they have not had a wonderful time and experience like this and therefore told the State Commandant, that every member of the association will not only make available credible intelligence to Command but will also do everything possible not to contravene the law establishing ALPSPN.
