Kogi NSCDC Commandant Receives New 12 Brigade Commander, Restates Commitment to Protecting Critical Infrastructure

The State Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Kogi State Command, Ahmad Ahmad Gandi, played host to the new 12 Brigade Commander Kogi State, Brig Gen HI Dasuki. 

The Commandant who took time in explaining the Corps core mandates to his guest, said ” we are highly trained, well positioned to make sure all those Assets and infrastructure are safe and well guarded, we have so many of them in the State and we are doing our best in these regard,”

The Commandant was pleased with the Army Commander over his awareness of NSCDC mandates, and attributed it to his quest for knowledge.

Further more the State Commandant how ever noted that the State Command of NSCDC has enjoyed a robust synergy with the military, both in joint operations and Intelligence shearing.

Speaking further, Ahmad Ahmad Gandi said NSCDC personnel are in all the 21 local government of the State providing Security to ensure Law and Order, protecting lives and property including Critical National Assets and Infrastructure in all nukes and cranny in the State.

He how ever noted that the only challenge is the inadequate personnel but when ever we are going for an operation that needs a superior fire power force, we will call on the military for support.

Earlier on while speaking, the 12 Brigade Commander Kogi State, Brig Gen HI Dasuki, appreciated the State Commandant for the warm reception accorded him and his entourage.

Brig General Dasuki while highlighting on some of the NSCDC Core mandates, specifically the on protection of Critical National Assets and Infrastructure as a statutory function of NSCDC, pledged his support for the success of the State Command anytime where necessary.

The Brig Gen solicited for cooperation with NSCDC in the area of intelligence shearing, just he posited that no Security agency can do it alone, “as Security agencies, we all have one goal, which is the protection lives and property in the land.

He concluded by asking the Commandant and his staffs to also feel free come to the Barracks and make use of their sports facilities as this will also boost cooperation between the duo.
