Moved with the compassion of bringing governance closer to rural dwellers, Kogi Security Adviser, Commander Jerry Omodara (rtd) has donated a Motorized Borehole to Edumu Community in Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area.

Commander Omodara donated the borehole in response to appeals of the people of Edumo Bunu for  water to cushion their hardship.

The borehole has already been drilled, installed, and is now in use.

Commander Omodara has also promised to provide another motorised Borehole to Egbeda Community in the same Local Local Government Area before the end of May 2026.

He made the promise on Sunday during a church service at The Apostolic Church Nigeria, Egbeda-Kabba.

Commander Omodara attended the event as a guest at the church’s inauguration ceremony, which upgraded it from an Assembly to a District Headquarters.

He was invited by Mr. Stephen Olusoko, one of the backbone members of the church and a close associate of the Security Adviser.

While addressing the congregation, Omodara thanked God for the opportunity to witness the occasion. He commended Mr. Stephen Olusoko for his contributions to the Kogi State Government, especially in the area of security, noting that his efforts have been remarkable.

He further urged church leaders and members not to take security lightly. He called on the youths of the community to serve as the “first line of defense,” assuring them that the government is prepared to provide all necessary support.

Commander Omodara then announced that the church and the Egbeda community would receive a motorized borehole before the end of the month.

Cdr. Jerry Omodara is a visionary leader acting in line with the directive of Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, which mandates every senior government official to provide at least two boreholes in their respective local government areas.

Additionally, to further ensure that the dividends of democracy reach the people, Commander Jerry Omodara (rtd) has also commenced the construction of drainage along the Oke-Offin Community Town Hall Road.

The drainage, which residents have long hoped for, is now being constructed by Commander Omodara.

The drainage project will help control erosion in the area as we enter the rainy season. The project is already ongoing and will be completed in a few weeks.
