Kogi State Government has vowed to sustain the current onslaught against criminals and their activities in the State.
State Security Adviser, Commander Jerry Omodara (rtd), in a statement issued to reporters on Thursday through his Media Aide, Charles Olukunle, congratulated Christian faithfuls on the occasion of this year’s Christmas celebration.
Omodara, assured that insecurity plating the nation, especially Kogi State, will soon be history.
He highlighted successes recorded in the last 48 hours shows we’re on the right track, and the State government won’t stop until peace is fully restored.
He assured Kogites of maximum security this Christmas, noting that the Governor Ododo-led administration won’t relent in fighting crimes and criminalities in the state.

He thanked the security agencies in the State, particularly; the 12 Brigade Nigerian Army, NNS Lugard-Nigerian Navy, Nigeria Police Kogi Command, DSS Kogi Command, NSCDC, KSVS, and our Local Hunters in Kogi State for their teamwork in fighting banditry.
Cdr. Jerry Omodara also commended good citizens of the State for providing timely and credible information to security agencies, which he said have helped in recent in recent operations. He however, warned indigenes aiding bandits to stop or face consequence as they would be treated as terrorists.
He encouraged Kogi citizens to continue to pray fervently for the success of His Excellency, Gov. Ahmed Usman Ododo, FCA, and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and to overcome the current security challenges facing our country.
He wished everyone a joyful 2025 holidays and a happy new year in advance.
