The Executive Chairman of the Kogi State Senior Secondary Education Board (KGSSEB), Dr. Habiba Suleiman, has announced that the 2025/2026 Centralised Mock Examination (CME) for Senior Secondary School Three (SS 3) students across the state will commence on Monday, December 2nd, 2025.

Dr. Suleiman made this known during the Item Generation Session for the forthcoming Mock Examination held at St. Peter’s College, Idah.
According to her, the early commencement of the Mock Examination is a deliberate step towards improving students’ preparedness for external examinations such as WAEC and NECO.

Dr. Habiba emphasized that the Centralised Mock Examination is not just a routine exercise but a strategic, system-wide diagnostic tool designed to assess learning outcomes and enhance instructional quality across Kogi State’s senior secondary schools.
“This Mock Examination is far more than a simple practice test,” she noted. “It is our most vital diagnostic instrument and a critical training ground for both students and teachers as they prepare for the external examinations.”
She further described the Mock Examination as a preparatory platform for SS 3 teachers, enabling them to identify and address the weaknesses of their students well ahead of the final examinations.
While urging Principals and Teachers to give the exercise the seriousness it deserves, Dr. Habiba warned against any form of examination malpractice, stressing that those found guilty would face the full weight of the law.
“Examination misconduct will not be tolerated under any guise. The Board will not hesitate to sanction anyone found culpable,” she cautioned.

Dr. Habiba reaffirmed the Board’s commitment to raising academic standards and ensuring that Kogi State students perform excellently in national examinations through systematic planning, early preparation, and effective supervision
